For decades, brands have perfected waist sizing, offering more inclusive fits and a wider range of options. Yet, inseam lengths have remained static, leaving both consumers and brands with frustrating compromises.

The standard short, regular, and long inseams fail to accommodate the full range of body types, style preferences, and functional needs. Consumers are forced to choose between an imperfect fit, costly alterations, or, worst of all, walking away from a purchase altogether.

Managing multiple inseam lengths creates significant inefficiencies for brands. Excess inventory ties up capital and forces markdowns, while stockouts leave potential sales on the table. According to The Business of Fashion 2025 State of Fashion report, out-of-stock sizes rank as a top complaint among shoppers.

Give the people what they want

future-proof your denim line

While brands have refined waist sizing, inseam lengths have remained unchanged and inconsistent, leaving a major gap in the market. Brands that fail to evolve risk losing consumers.

No innovation in Inseam sizing

The denim industry is highly competitive, making it difficult for brands to stand out. Consumers are drawn to brands that offer unique features and functional benefits beyond just style.

Differentiation is key

Offering adjustable-length jeans differentiates your brand from competitors while reinforcing a reputation for thoughtful, functional design.

Stand out

Shoppers are prioritizing versatility and longevity in their purchases as macroeconomic pressures are making consumers demand more value for their money.

Avoid the two-for-one promotions that dilute your brand and cut into margins. Instead, offer a product that delivers two styles in one, enhancing value without sacrificing exclusivity.

value without Discounting

shifting consumer priorities

Shorties are a first-of-its-kind feature that addresses a real pain point. By integrating this technology, your brand can lead the charge in reshaping the way we think about fit.

Bring Buzz to your brand

By consolidating inseam options into a single convertible product, Shorties™ help brands reduce excess inventory and unsold stock—two major sources of textile waste in the fashion industry. That means fewer markdowns, lower production complexity, and a direct move toward more sustainable, resource-efficient manufacturing.

Less Inventory. Less Waste. better fit.

68% of women say they would buy adjustable-length jeans, and Shorties™ give them a reason to invest in premium denim that truly does more. One pair can replace two, reducing the total environmental impact. What used to be two $75 jeans becomes one $150 pair—delivering versatility to the consumer and profit stability to the brand.

Designed for function. Aligned with sustainability.

In helping consumers get more out of each pair of jeans, they naturally align with the shift toward more conscious fashion without asking brands to compromise on margins or growth.

Shorties™ are designed to help premium denim brands compete with fast fashion by offering real value—versatility, longevity, and style—all in a single product. They give customers a compelling reason to buy better, not more. That means stealing share from "disposable" clothing brands and capturing new demand with a smarter, more sustainable product.

Adjustments can be made in one-inch increments, offering multiple length options. However, the total range of adjustability depends on the design choices of each brand. For example, some brands may offer adjustments from 1" to 6" in one-inch increments, while others may choose specific lengths like 2" or 4" only. Additionally, the 1" take-up works best with the blind hem method. We aim to provide as much flexibility as possible while maintaining a polished look.

Can pants be shortened to any length?

05

That’s the beauty of the snap hem system—it works perfectly for both! You can make quick adjustments when needed, like shortening your pants when commuting to work in sneakers and then lengthening the seam after putting on heels at the office. For a more permanent look, we recommend ironing the folds to create a seamless finish. Just make sure to let the snaps cool before wearing your jeans to prevent accidental burns.

are shorties meant for temporary adjustments, or can it be used for long-term wear?

04

The snap hem system is designed to be integrated during the manufacturing process, which requires the same specialized equipment used in denim production to properly attach the insert. To ensure the highest quality and durability, we work directly with brands who have the necessary production capabilities. This approach helps maintain the premium look and functionality that Length Wise is known for.

Why is the Snap Hem only available to Brands?

03

Currently, the snap hem system has been tested and perfected for jeans. Additionally, since many non-denim pants can be styled with traditional blind hems, the unique benefit of preserving the original hemline may not be as relevant. We are continually exploring new applications, so stay tuned for updates.

is the snap hem just for jeans?

02

It depends on how you choose to style it. If you want to keep the original hem completely hidden, you can connect the snaps without folding the fabric over, similar to a blind hem. This is perfect for quick adjustments, like you might need on a rainy day when the ground is wet. For a more polished look, you can flip the fold down to the hemline, preserving the original hem detail while achieving the perfect length.

Will the original hemline be visible?

01

Shorties are designed to stay secure throughout the day. Once fastened, the snaps stay firmly in place, even with daily movement. To further validate durability and performance, we are aligning our testing protocols with industry standards, including ASTM D7142-05 and ASTM D2724-19. Whether you’re running errands or dancing the night away, the snaps are built to stay put.
